What You Say

This is what YOU told us about the service.

We get most of our information from the Service Feedback Questionnaires which are completed at the end of an advocacy partnership and from other surveys we undertake.  EARS has had a lot of very good feedback about its services, both from letters and cards sent in by those who have received a service and from our questionnaires.  The information has been very useful in letting us know whether or not people are satisfied with EARS and the services we provide.

The EARS questionnaires are completed by its service users at the end of advocacy partnerships – that’s when a case is being closed. This is, briefly, what you told us – in those questionnaires – about the service you’ve been receiving and how you felt about it:

  • Most of you (90%) said the referral issue was resolved.
  • All of you (100%) said you would use an EARS advocate again.
  • Almost all of you (99%) said you would recommend the EARS service to someone else.

Also well worth quoting – one of our Local Authority Commissioners wrote:  “I am aware that, generally, within…Council, EARS have a very positive reputation. They are highly valued as a provider of advocacy...I work a great deal with the NHS which values the work of EARS.”

An Mental Health Officer who referred someone to EARS said: “Quick response. Excellent to have such a service.”

As well as the feedback from those questionnaires, we’ve received many letters and cards from people thanking us for the support given to them by EARS advocates/the EARS service.
